Residential Carpenter

The residential carpenter is the backbone of the home construction industry. They are often skilled in nearly every aspect of home building. The carpenter is usually onsite throughout the duration of the construction process.

A residential carpenter must be skilled in a number of techniques in order to be effective. In framing a house, the carpenter must be able to not only correctly and safely assemble the basic structure, but they must be able to do so according to a very strict set of blueprints. If the blueprints are misread in some fashion, the results can often be disastrous.

A residential carpenter is often needed for installing flooring. Skill is required to correctly lay out and install hardwood flooring. An experienced carpenter can often create very technical geometric designs based on specific blueprints, or rough drawings by the home builder.
