Construction Equipment
Humans have used construction equipment of various designs
throughout their history. Early civilizations used simple hand tools
for construction, and later began to develop more advanced building
and lifting implements. Modern construction equipment, while more advanced,
are still used for the same functions.
Heavy construction equipment is manufactured to withstand the abuses
of large, heavy operations. Earth moving equipment like bulldozers and
bucket loaders are generally manufactured from heavy steel and iron,
making them capable of heavy workloads over long periods of time. Cranes
and most other heavy equipment are made to similarly heavy-duty specifications.
Construction equipment doesn’t always have to mean heavy equipment.
Most tools used in home construction are hand-held power tools. Many
of these are the modern descendents of some of man’s earliest
tools.
